Framingham Food Truck Festival
In its second year running, the Framingham Food TruckFestival held in Shoppers World will feature a variety of different entrees from 20-plus food trucks from around New England. The event will have sampling tents, live music, and activities for children. Some of the food trucks include Munchies Food Truck, Boston Super Dog, Grilled Cheese Nation, Lobsta Love, and so many more. There is no admission fee, but food truck-goers are encouraged to buy “taste tickets” that are used like cash at the food trucks. So it’s like Monopoly money, but you’ll actually be able to buy stuff. Fake money and really good food? What better way to avoid real-life problems? Leave those for Monday.
$13-$25 taste tickets; Saturday, Oct. 6, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Shopper’s World, 1 Worcester Road, Framingham; foodtruckfestivalsofne.com
Boston Local Food Festival
The 3rd annual Local Food Festival now has a bigger and better location. The Rose Kennedy Greenway is a mile-long string of public parks located right near the Aquarium MBTA blue line stop. The event brings together over 150 local food vendors from around New England. The festival will also feature tons of DIY booths, a seafood throwdown competition, chef demonstrations and some free gifts. Boston Local Food Festival was named “The Best of the New Events” in the Boston Globe and drew over 30,000 people in its second year. The best part? It’s absolutely free. Now get up and go claim your free swag, we know you want it.
